For that, Ipsum Clinical has come together
so that we all win.

About
COVID-19

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause respiratory illnesses ranging from the common cold to fatal pneumonia.

Coronaviruses, so-named because protein spikes on the surface of the virus resemble the sun’s corona, are common. Most cause respiratory, gastrointestinal, liver, and neurologic diseases in animals.

Human Coronavirus
Infection (HCoV)

4 of the 7 viruses cause mild and self-limiting upper respiratory tract infections, such as the common cold, but they can cause severe lower respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia, in infants, older people, and people whose immune systems are not working well. These HCoV infections show a seasonal pattern with most cases occurring in the winter months in temperate climate countries.

3 of the 7 HCoV (SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, and SARS-CoV2) have caused major outbreaks of deadly pneumonia in the 21st century. (By Matthew E. Levison, MD, Adjunct Professor of Medicine, Drexel University College of Medicine)

The Coronavirus
Disease (COVID-19)

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol based rub frequently and not
touching your face.

How does Ipsum Clinical
confront COVID-19?

COVID-19, it’s everyone’s battle, for that, Ipsum Clinical has come together so that we can successfully combat the virus. Ipsum Clinical, through the experience of its network of clinical trial centers, joins the search and support for the development of vaccines and new treatments that help reduce the impact of COVID-19. At Ipsum Clinical we want to be supportive, committed and efficient, we are present to help. Ipsum’s mission to provide the safety of its collaborators and the community in general is essential. Within a series of initiatives to respond to this situation and reduce exposure to contagions, we work from home and have reduced business travel. In combating the virus, this strategy has been successful.

We are excited to join @PatientWing in the fight against #COVID19.
Covid19studies.org aims to connect as many people with #COVID19studies as possible.

Help fight #COVID19 by volunteering for a #clinicaltrial through covid19studies.org. There are virtual #COVID19studies and healthy volunteers needed, too!

COVID19studies.org is a new resource to help patients, healthy volunteers and researchers find #clinicaltrials that could discover life-saving treatments and vaccines for the #coronavirus. Lets fight #COVID19 together! #COVID19studies
